Industrial Design
Designed for the 2025 IESNYC Student Lighting Competition
In a process called phototropism, plants follow sunlight to gain energy, most classically observed in sunflowers. In this tabletop lamp, an artificial sunflower—locked in tandem with a bright spotlight on a lazy Susan—reflects and diffuses the light, reminding users that by following their light, they can create beauty in their lives.
